Michigan GOP has gone full Q-Anon/MAGAt . . . and it’s costing them

Newly leaked information shows the desperate condition of the Michigan Republican Party under the “leadership” of MAGA devotee Kristina Karamo.

The Detroit News reports that the Michigan GOP’s bank accounts have dwindled to a mere $93,000, a small fraction of what the party typically has during this point in an election cycle.

Writing on Twitter, Detroit News reporter Craig Mauger says that GOP insiders believe the paltry amount of money in the party’s bank accounts paints an “alarming financial picture.”

Mauger also reveals the Detroit News received the information about the party’s finances from an audio recording of a state committee member who disclosed the information at a recent meeting.

Michigan Republicans elected Karamo as their party’s chairwoman despite the fact that she suffered a blowout 14-point defeat in her failed campaign to become Michigan’s Secretary of State.

Kamaro last year based her entire campaign for Michigan secretary of state around former President Donald Trump’s false claims that mass voter fraud had cost him the 2020 election in Michigan and other key swing states.

Kamaro has also accused Democrats of selling off the body parts of babies and engaging in ritual child sacrifice, and has also said that demonic possession is not only real but can be transferred from one person to another via sexual intercourse.

Speaking of cocaine . . .

On the left is Donald Trump, Jr. a well-known cokehead.  On the right is his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoylle.  She is a former Fox personality.  Her favorite pastime is taking photos of her lovers’ genitals and posting the pics online.  Jr. dumped his wife and five kids to take up with this ‘ho.

That’s the Republican Party for you — the party of “family values”.

Trump getting more and more desperate as Jack Smith closes in on him

Donald Trump recently asked a judge to indefinitely suspend the federal criminal case against him until after the 2024 election, but Jack Smith’s response should make the former president’s attorneys embarrassed, according to a former federal prosecutor.

Smith “shredded the defense position in the opening paragraphs of his reply brief by pointing to something so elemental that the defense team should be embarrassed,” according to former U.S. attorney Joyce Vance. For one, Vance explained, the judge must set a trial date, and isn’t allowed to grant the request to grant a pause for that long.

“The Speedy Trial Act makes no provision for taking the put-it-off-indefinitely approach Trump’s lawyers fought for. But the defense threw a lot of spaghetti at the wall in hopes something would stick,” the guest said. “Nothing did. The special counsel’s office shot down each argument.”

Vance continued:

“But we did get a first look at Smith’s reply to Trump’s most ambitious (yet still lacking) defense argument. Equally important, we got a taste of how Smith intends to handle the former president’s typical strategy of provoking extended legal delays tied to specious arguments and procedural moves. Most of the defense arguments involved speculation about difficulties that might materialize down the road. These are the sorts of situations judges are well-equipped to handle when and if they materialize, and they don’t justify what Trump asked the judge to do.”

Regarding Trump’s attempt to claim the Presidential Records Act governs his case, Vance said the argument fall flat.

“It’s classic Trump — repeat the lie often enough and hope people fall for it,” the analyst wrote.

Now it looks as though Jack Smith is investigating the movement of boxes of documents from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort to two of his other Florida properties:  Trump National Doral Golf Club and Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter.

And let’s not forget that Smith is also sniffing around Trump’s Bedminster NJ golf club, especially because there is video of boxes of documents being loaded onto an aircraft that was going to Bedminster from Mar-A-Lago.

Indictments coming for Trump in Georgia: DA tells judges to clear the decks for two weeks in August

Donald Trump will likely soon be hit with a “massive conspiracy case” out of Georgia for allegedly attempting to overturn the election there, and there could be dozens of defendants who join him, according to a former prosecutor.

Former prosecutor Glenn Kirschner appeared on MSNBC to discuss Trump’s criminal probe and case, and was asked about Trump’s legal woes in Georgia. It has been reported that the prosecutor there, Fani Willis, is nearing a charging decision.

Kirschner noted that he has been expecting a large case from Willis, perhaps charging around a dozen people, because of actions she took before this month.

“I became convinced that the district attorney Fani Willis was going to indict probably a massive conspiracy case when she did something that was really unusual. I had never seen it done as a prosecutor. She sent a letter to the judges of Fulton County, the Fulton County court, saying that we respectfully request that you set no trials for two weeks in august,” he said. “The week of august 7th and 14th, and you set no in-person hearings during those two weeks. That is an incredible ask of a prosecutor to courts, please clear your dockets, clear the decks.”

He added:

The “only really inference there is that she knows full well that she is going to drop a mass of conspiracy indictment that will probably include, according to one of the grand jurors who gave some interviews after the special purpose grand jury had concluded its work, perhaps dozens of people. She is going to need those two weeks to run all of those defendants through court for their arraignment. That is their first court appearance. It is going to take time and she’s asked the judges to clear their decks for two weeks in August so she can do that.”

Republican “whistleblower” against Biden turns out to be international crook and Chinese spy

(Reuters) -The leader of a U.S. think tank has been charged with acting as an unregistered agent of China, as well as seeking to broker the sale of weapons and Iranian oil, federal prosecutors in Manhattan said on Monday.

Gal Luft, a citizen of the United States and Israel, is accused of recruiting and paying a former high-ranking U.S. government official on behalf of principals based in China in 2016, without registering as a foreign agent as required by law.

Prosecutors did not identify the former official, but said he was working as an adviser to the then president-elect Donald Trump at the time. Luft is accused of pushing the adviser to support policies favorable to China, including by drafting comments in the adviser’s name published in a Chinese newspaper.

That former official is Comer’s star witness.

Press release from the US Attorney-SDNY.

From a tweet posted here.
This is what James Comer said *yesterday* about his fake whistleblower who was just indicted for being a Chinese spy:
“He’s very credible and the people on MSNBC who made fun of me when I said we had an informant that was missing, they should feel like fools right now. And this is their worst nightmare.”

Okay, Rep. Comer — so tell me, whose “worst nightmare” has now come true?

“My Pillow” in the tank, closes major manufacturing facility; Mike Lindell whines about it

Mike Lindell’s war against voting is costing him some of his own machines.

The MyPillow CEO is auctioning off company equipment after major retailers such as Walmart dropped his products due to his wild election conspiracy theories.

“It was a massive, massive cancellation,” Lindell told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “We lost $100 million from attacks by the box stores, the shopping networks, the shopping channels, all of them did cancel culture on us.”

As a result, bargain hunters in the Minneapolis area have a chance to bid on MyPillow equipment including trucks, forklifts, air compressors, sewing machines, computers and more.

Lindell told WCCO, the CBS station in Minneapolis, that he has a pile of unsold inventory and that he’s been shifting workers around to avoid layoffs.

“I do every customer like my only customer and every employee like my only employee,” he told the station.

COMMENT

Mike Lindell bet his reputation and his company on the huge lie that the 2020 election was stolen.  He hitched his wagon to Donald Trump and now he has learned the truth that EVERYTHING TRUMP TOUCHES DIES.

Stop blaming your own stupidity on “cancel culture.”
