True story

Trump and his driver were cruising along a country road one evening when a pig ran in front of the car. The driver tried to avoid it but couldn’t. The pig was killed.

Trump told his driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what happened.

About an hour later the driver staggers back to the car with his clothes in total disarray.

He was holding a bottle of wine in one hand, a cigar in the other and smiling happily.
“What happened?” asked Trump.
“Well,” the driver replied “the Farmer gave me the wine, his wife gave me the cigar, and their beautiful daughter made mad passionate love to me.”
“My God, what did you tell them?” asked Trump.

The driver replied: “I’m Trump’s driver, and I just killed the pig.”

Republican civil war coming to a head in a few weeks . . . blood, gore, and bodies will litter the room . . . a beautiful sight!!

A Chinese philosopher once observed: ” If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by.”   I’m standing by the river and the bodies will be here soon.

According to a report from Steve People of of the Associated Press, Republican National Committee head Ronna Romney McDaniels is going to have her hands full through the holidays as calls to oust her from her position grow louder with GOP activists emailing each other demanding “Ronna’s gotta go.”

As Peoples wrote, the embattled RNC leader has been under the gun after the so-called midterm “red wave” never materialized and Republican insiders pointed out that during her tenure an incumbent president achieved the almost impossible by failing to be re-elected.

According to the report, “The family fight to lead the party has been largely overshadowed for national attention by the equally contentious struggle to become the new Republican House Speaker, with that election set for the first week in January. But both represent critical selections as the GOP works to overcome six years of electoral underperformance heading into another presidential election,” before adding, “Ronna McDaniel, Trump’s hand-picked choice to lead the committee and the niece of Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, is running for a fourth consecutive term. But the 49-year-old is facing a rising wave of discontent from Trump’s ‘MAGA’ movement, even as the former president stays silent — at least, for now.”

According to RNC member Ron Kaufman, “It’ll be ugly as hell for a while.”

The report notes that pressure on McDaniels is also coming from the far-right Donald Trump-aligned wing of the party and that challengers to her spot are lining up to take her on.

“California attorney Harmeet Dhillon has emerged as the MAGA favorite to challenge McDaniel, who secured commitments from more than 100 of the RNC’s 168 voting members earlier this month. Dhillon is working aggressively to peel away some of that support ahead of the formal vote at next month’s annual winter meeting in southern California,” the report notes. “Dhillon said she also notified Trump of her candidacy in a brief phone call shortly before she made her intentions public this month. She did not explicitly ask for his endorsement either, although she said the president did not discourage her from challenging McDaniel.”

Even one of McDaniels biggest supporters admits that is quite a movement brewing to dump her.

“Steve Scheffler, an Iowa-based RNC member who supports McDaniel, said he’s receiving 50 to 70 emails each day from Republicans, many of them angry, weighing in on the leadership fight,” admitting that most of them bluntly state, “Ronna’s gotta go.”

The report adds, “Arizona GOP Chair Kelli Ward said she’s received ‘a few thousand emails’ in recent days,” with Ward claiming in a social media posting, “NOT ONE regular person not affiliated with the current RNC apparatus has urged me to retain Ronna Romney McDaniel as Chair.”

“Now we (the party of Lincoln) shelter the ignorant, the racist, . . . “

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) delivered a farewell address on Thursday that read like an obituary for his own political party.

Kinzinger, one of just ten House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump in the wake of the deadly riots at the United States Capitol building, lashed out at Republicans for embracing fever-swamp conspiracy theorists and turning their backs on the principles the party once held.

Among other things, Kinzinger drew an unfavorable comparison between today’s Republican leaders and former President George H.W. Bush.

“In the wake of the tragic Oklahoma City bombing, former President George H.W. Bush publicly refuted those who used fear to gain support,” he said. “In stark contrast today, our leaders belittle, and in some cases justify, attacks on the U.S. Capitol as ‘legitimate political discourse.'”

Kinzinger said this was a symptom of a broader sickness within the GOP as a whole.

“The once-great party of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Reagan has turned its back on the ideals of liberty and self-governance,” he said. “Instead, it has embraced lies and deceit. The Republican party used to believe in a big tent… Now, we shelter the ignorant, the racist, who only stoke anger and hatred.”

This is some GOOD news!!

The first 3 of 12 militia members who planned to kidnap and assassinate Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer have just been sentenced to hefty prison time.  4 more have pleaded guilty and are awaiting their sentences, and another 5 are still awaiting trial in a different county.  The militia known as the Wolverine Watchmen is no more.  All of them are going to do hard time, as well as lose their Second Amendment rights for the rest of their livesThey have all just lost the war they wanted so badly.

This combo of undated file images provided by Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and Jackson County Sheriff's Office show, from left, Paul Bellar, Joseph Morrison and Pete Musico. The three men accused of supporting a plot to kidnap Michigan's governor were convicted of all charges Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, a triumph for state prosecutors after months of mixed results in the main case in federal court. Old, fat man says he will make an announcement today (Wed, Dec 15). Turns out to be a scam. UPDATED!!

On Wednesday, December 14, Trump issued this announcement about a really big event coming on Thursday, December 15.

The news media — including Fox — either ignored him or joked about the announcement, further proof that no one gives a shit about Trump.

HERE IT IS!!  HERE’S TRUMP’S MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Donald Trump’s much-hyped “major announcement” turned out to be, in the words of “A Christmas Story’s” Ralphie Parker, a crummy commercial.

The former president teased the announcement Wednesday by saying “America needs a superhero,” with a video of himself ripping open his shirt to reveal a Superman-style costume and shooting laser beams from his eyes, but the announcement turned out to be a promo for digital trading cards.

“MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here!” the ex-president posted on his Truth Social account. “These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting. Go to collecttrumpcards.com/ & GET YOUR CARDS NOW! Only $99 each!”

“Would make a great Christmas gift,” Trump added. “Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!”

Buyers are automatically entered in a sweepstakes to win prizes, including dinner with Trump in Miami, an invitation to a Mar-a-Lago cocktail hour, golf with Trump and the winner’s friends, and a Zoom call with the former president.

This is interesting — buried deep in the small print that no ones reads is this statement:

By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrant authorizes the Sponsor to collect, use, process, transfer and store all data provided by entrant, including without limitation, personal data, in the United States, or any location(s) throughout the world that the Sponsor deems necessary, whether within Entrant’s country of residence or elsewhere, and with such party(ies) as the Sponsor deems appropriate, for purposes of administration of the Sweepstakes.

So — if you buy even one Trump Digital Trading Card, he has your personal data — name, address, phone, email address, AND CREDIT CARD NUMBER — which he can use as he pleases — such as, to charge a monthly donation to Trump from your credit card.

These “trading cards” are digital — that is, if you buy any, you will receive a computer file that you open and print.

Also notice that these things are sold as NFTs — NFTs (non-fungible tokens) — a form of cryptocurrency.  In other words, a SCAM.

The news media was right to ignore him — just another scam

Here’s another take on the latest Trump scam.

UPDATE!!  UPDATE!!

Turns out, the company that is selling these “digital trading cards” has the same mailing address as . . .  Trump’s Florida golf club!!  Imagine that!!

On Thursday, after teasing a massive announcement the day before, former President Donald Trump unveiled a series of $99 “trading card” nonfungible tokens, or NFTs — images of himself backed by cryptocurrency technology.

The announcement was widely mocked — however, one slightly less discussed detail is the nature of the company making the cards.

It isn’t Trump’s campaign, nor is it the Trump Organization. Rather, it is a mysterious entity known as CIC Ventures, which, according to Ken Bensington of The New York Times, has a lot of overlap with Trump.

“The company that licensed Trump’s image and likeness for the $99 NFT trading cards appears to be one founded in 2021 by former Trump advisor Nick Luna and current Trump lawyer John Marion,” wrote Bensington on Twitter. “Its mailing address is the same as the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.”

“Little is known about CIC, but a little digging shows that a manila folder seized from Mar-a-Lago by the FBI in August was marked ‘Serio Contract’ and contained a contract with CIC Ventures and Gold Ventures, per a federal court filing,” Bensington continued.

Even some Trump supporters grumbled about the NFT announcement, complaining that the cards on offer were “worthless” and a “scam.”

This comes as Trump has suffered setbacks with his 2024 campaign launch, with some polls indicating he is losing the lead among the Republican base to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — which Trump took to his Truth Social platform to rail against this week.

UPDATE 2!!!

And soon parodies of the “Trump Trading Cards” appeared.

Why did the Trumphumpers flock to Trump . . .and still do?

Because I am a sane person as well as being a Democrat, I would not really notice this taking place over the years.

For years, for decades, Trump obsessively watched cable news, Fox news and other right wing so-called news sites. He never worked a day in his life. All he does is watch the news. Millions of Republican voters were watching the same bullshit and believing it.

When Trump ran for president he knew exactly what the Republican voters were watching and listening to. He told them exactly what they wanted to hear. The Republican voters said “Wow!!  Finally we have found someone who tells the truth. Trump gets it and we are all in!”

Bottom line, Republican voters had let themselves be brainwashed for decades and Trump came along and completely verified what they had been watching and believing for years. He became their hero, their savior.

And now, he will be their downfall as we watch the Republican Party slowly sink into the toilet, to be flushed away over the next few years.

Now we know: Trove of Mark Meadows’ texts reveal Meadows, Republican members of Congress, Trump partners plotted to overthrow US government, institute “marshall law (sic)”

The messages you are about to read are the definitive, real-time record of a plot to overturn an American election and to destroy our Constitution.

Turning Point Memo (TPM) has obtained the 2,319 text messages that Mark Meadows, who was President Trump’s last White House chief of staff, turned over to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack. Today, we are publishing The Meadows Texts, a series based on an in-depth analysis of these extraordinary — and disturbing — communications.

The vast majority of Meadows’ texts described in this series are being made public for the very first time. They show the senior-most official in the Trump White House communicating with members of Congress, state-level politicians, and far-right activists as they work feverishly to overturn Trump’s loss in the 2020 election. The Meadows texts illustrate in moment-to-moment detail an authoritarian effort to undermine the will of the people and upend the American democratic system as we know it.

The text messages, obtained from multiple sources, offer new insights into how the assault on the election was rooted in deranged internet paranoia and undemocratic ideology. They show Meadows and other high-level Trump allies reveling in wild conspiracy theories, violent rhetoric, and crackpot legal strategies for refusing to certify Joe Biden’s victory. They expose the previously unknown roles of some members of Congress, local politicians, activists and others in the plot to overturn the election. Now, for the first time, many of those figures will be named and their roles will be described — in their own words.

FYI…So I asked Ali Pardo from our press shop to get in touch with Rep. Mo Brooks’ office since he seems to be the ringleader on the Jan 6th deal. They say they will have as many as 50 members on board 1/6…but we won’t have a list of names until Sunday or Monday. This may not surprise you, but no one from the legal team has made contact with them at all. They request examples of fraud, numbers, names, whatever supporting evidence can be provided. We’ve now supplied that, but our legal squad isn’t exactly buttoned up. I bring this up for a simple reason – if we’re hoping to move real numbers on the 6th, I think we need to quickly start mobilizing our real-deal allies. I’m ready to go, I have bodies to help, will follow your lead.

Mark Meadows

Thanks Jason. You are the best. I will bring it up with potus and I plan to meet with them on Saturday.

On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all — in accordance with guidance from founding father Alexander Hamilton and judicial precedence. No legislative act, wrote Alexander Hamilton in Federalist No. 78, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. The court in Hubbard v. Lowe reinforced this truth: That an unconstitutional statute is not a law at all is a proposition no longer open to discussion. 226 F. 135, 137 (SDNY 1915), appeal dismissed, 242 U.S. 654 (1916). Following this rationale, an unconstitutionally appointed elector, like an unconstitutionally enacted statute, is no elector at all.

This is what passes for Republican concern about Paul Whelan

2018:  Whelan is arrested in Russia, charged with spying for the US, imprisoned on phony charges.  Action by Trump administration to free Whelan: . . .

2019: Trump and Republican action to free Whelan: . . . . . . .

2020: Trump and Republican action to free Whelan: . . . . . . .

2021: Trump and Republican action to free Whelan: . . . . . . .

2022:  Biden frees Britney Griner.  Republicans lose their minds because a gay black female is freed while a Marine with a bad conduct discharge remains in jail in Russia.  Where was their concern for Whelan in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 . . . . .
