Clear and Present Danger

The Republican Party and its leader, Donald Trump, constitute a clear and present danger to the Constitution and the rule of law. They are a greater danger to the US than the Civil War because the Confederacy sought to break away and be left alone whereas the Trump Republican Party seeks to replace our Constitution with a fascist dictatorship..

I will add more later but for now:  I am a retired Army officer and Vietnam combat veteran.  Born in Mississippi in the 1940’s, reared in the Southern Baptist church and fed on the “Lost Cause” myth, I left Mississippi at 18 and never looked back.  I now live in rural Virginia in a community of Trump supporters, none of whom has the brains God gave a goose.

Someone needs to remind Trump and the people around him — such as Congressional Republicans — that history will not be kind to Trump.  Anyone who supported him is destined to be forgotten or maligned by history.  Serves them right.
